The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) team is seeking an individual with a
strong working knowledge in software
engineering, Python, C++, and STAR.OS knowledge to support the Applied AI Mission
Management team and product portfolio
focusing on Cogniverse Mission Management.

The team is focused on developing small, innovative teams to rapidly iterate and mature solutions from prototypes to production for utilization across the enterprise and the field for our customers.

The selected candidate will focus on the
development of simulation environments using
STAR.OS. This will require
engagement in every phase of the
software/system development lifecycle including
requirements generation, system and software
design, implementation, testing and integration.
Activities will range from low TRL research, proof
of concepts, rapid prototyping and transition to
production. The selected candidate can expect to
have exposure to the latest AI paradigms in
generative AI and reinforcement learning (RL) to
create high fidelity training and simulation
environments for a wide range of applications.

Candidates should exhibit self-motivation, a
strong work ethic, communication, time
management and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience, with 5 years of professional experience or 3 years of professional experience with a related master?s degree.

Strong expertise in Python and modern C++ programming.

Experience in system software engineering, deploying AI-first systems, AI/ML development and data curation and data pipelines.

Building and deploying software for mission systems, mission management and/or battle management in DoD domain
