Summary
A telecommunications client of ours leading national infrastructure and end-to-end communications, electrical, and data-center construction solutions is looking for a Director of ISP to join their Phoenix team. This is a full-time, W2 position with the organisation based in their Phoenix, AZ office onsite.
Position Overview
The Director of ISP for their data centre Division will lead their growing inside-plant (ISP) organization in Phoenix, AZ, overseeing all aspects of datacentre structured cabling, installation, and commissioning operations. This leader will manage project delivery, technical execution, and team performance while ensuring compliance with their organisation''s quality, safety, and profitability standards.
The Director will serve as the primary operational contact and client-facing leader for ISP projects, guiding technicians, coordinators, and field teams in delivering high-performance infrastructure solutions within active and new-build data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of ISP construction projects across multiple data-center clients and campuses.
- Manage and mentor field and project teams including technicians, foremen, and site supervisors.
- Drive accountability for project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance standards.
- Serve as the primary customer liaison for hyperscale and enterprise clients, ensuring responsiveness and satisfaction.
- Oversee material procurement, resource allocation, and workforce scheduling.
- Partner with the CCO and Business Development teams to support growth initiatives, proposals, and project pursuits in Arizona and other key markets.
- Ensure compliance with data-center operational protocols, safety policies, and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ISP deployment, testing, and documentation.
- Track and report division performance including revenue, margins, backlog, and forecast metrics.
- Coordinate with cross-functional leaders (OSP, Electrical, BD, and Finance) to align execution with company objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in ISP / structured-cabling leadership within data-center environments.
- Proven experience handling P&L of $75-$150mm
- Proven ability to lead field teams in large-scale fiber, copper, and power infrastructure deployments.
- Strong knowledge of BICSI, ANSI/TIA, and NFPA standards.
- Experience managing client relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers, or major data-center builders.
- Deep understanding of data-center infrastructure architecture—including fiber plant design, containment systems, rack/power layouts, and testing protocols.
- Proficiency in project tracking tools (SiteTracker, Procore, or equivalent).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- BICSI RCDD or equivalent certifications.
- OSHA 30 required (or ability to obtain within 30-45 days of hiring).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
