Test Engineer - Merrifield, VA - Contract - $43-53 Per HR
This role involves conducting tests on automated systems to ensure compliance with business practices and policies. The position is hybrid and contract-based, requiring proficiency in testing systems and technologies. Responsibilities include testing system functions, identifying issues, and ensuring software readiness for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regression and functional tests on new and existing systems.
- Create and edit test cases based on system requirements.
- Identify and document system problems, potential causes, and solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives and resolve issues.
- Ensure testing completion and readiness for production implementation.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in testing systems across various platforms.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project lifecycles and management methodologies.
- Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Technology or equivalent experience.
