Role Overview
eNGINE is seeking an experienced Ross ERP Consultant to help a manufacturing organization maximize the value of its Ross ERP 8.0 platform running on-premises with an Oracle backend.
This role goes beyond traditional ERP support. The selected consultant will evaluate how the organization is currently leveraging Ross ERP and provide recommendations to improve manufacturing visibility, production planning, quality processes, inventory management, and operational reporting. Success in this position will require a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, shop floor processes, and the ability to translate ERP capabilities into measurable business improvements.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on Ross ERP experience and a proven track record of partnering with manufacturing leaders to drive efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process optimization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze the current Ross ERP environment and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency across manufacturing and production teams.
- Evaluate machine utilization and production capacity data to help establish more effective scheduling, planning, and reporting processes.
- Review existing shop floor workflows and provide recommendations to improve labor productivity and operator performance tracking.
- Assess current quality management processes within Ross ERP and identify opportunities to better support quality assurance initiatives and compliance efforts.
- Improve visibility into manufacturing costs, production output, and operational performance through enhanced reporting and KPI development.
- Review how Bills of Material (BOMs) are maintained and utilized, recommending more effective approaches to forecasting, planning, and inventory management.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual spreadsheet-based processes by leveraging ERP functionality and system-driven reporting.
- Evaluate inventory replenishment processes and recommend best practices for automated purchasing and reorder point management.
- Partner with operations, production, supply chain, quality, and IT teams to gather requirements and prioritize improvements.
- Support ongoing ERP administration, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and user guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with technical teams supporting the Oracle database environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Ross ERP experience.
- Strong experience supporting Ross ERP 8.0 or similar legacy Ross environments.
- Extensive manufacturing and shop floor operations experience.
- Deep understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, procurement, BOM structures, and manufacturing workflows.
- Experience analyzing operational metrics and developing actionable process improvement recommendations.
- Familiarity with Oracle database environments and ERP reporting structures.
- Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between manufacturing operations and technology solutions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience conducting ERP assessments, optimization initiatives, or manufacturing process improvement projects.
- Background supporting process manufacturing, food & beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Experience implementing manufacturing KPIs, utilization reporting, cost analysis, or production dashboards.
- Knowledge of forecasting, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain processes.
- SQL reporting experience and familiarity with ERP data analysis.
- Previous consulting experience working directly with business leaders and operational stakeholders.
