Location: New York City (Hybrid – Locals Preferred)

Client is a global leader in data‐driven digital operations, analytics, and AI-enabled finance & accounting transformation . The company provides end‐to‐end financial services support, advanced analytics, and enterprise decision-enablement capabilities across multiple industries.


Role Overview

The FP&A Consultant will support client''s finance leadership by driving budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead and support annual budgets, P&L forecasting, and long‐term financial planning activities.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly forecast cycles, highlighting key variances and business drivers.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support scenario planning and strategic initiatives.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reports, variance analysis, and performance dashboards.
  • Analyze KPIs across revenue, OPEX, CAPEX, margins, and operational metrics.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities to guide leadership decision-making.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to provide financial insights and operational recommendations.
  • Support senior leadership during board presentations, executive reviews, and investor discussions by generating data-driven insights.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses for investments, business initiatives, and process improvements.

Technical & Automation Responsibilities

  • Develop analytics dashboards and automate reporting workflows using SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Build data pipelines and ensure data accuracy for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual reporting efforts and enhance visibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of total experience, with 4–6 years in FP&A roles.
  • Expert-level competence in:
    • Budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
    • Financial modeling & scenario analysis
    • Variance analysis, KPI tracking, and management reporting
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and finance automation.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem‐solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present insights to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in analytics-driven or data-centric finance organizations.
  • Proven ability to work in hybrid environments and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
