ABOUT THE POSITION:The Data Center Facility Manager is ultimately responsible for the 24 X 7 successful operation of the Bluebird Data Center including, but not limited to facility management, customer support, service contract management, coordination of all data center functions and data center sales support
RequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Three years recent experience in data center or communications facility operations in a 24 X 7 environment.
- Recent direct responsibilities for facility operations, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and proficiencies in the operation of a 24 x 7 facilities.
- Strong oral and written skills with the ability to communicate at various levels within an organization.
- Outgoing personality, approachable and friendly.
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures.
- Project management experience.
- Formal training in HVAC, UPS, and high voltage systems is desired.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in facilities management is desired.
- Budgetary and financial operations experience and responsibilities is desired.
- Facility management experience is desired.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: This position requires excellent listening, oral and written communication skills. The individual must be able to handle multiple concurrent assignments and able to work effectively under pressure and show competence in mechanical, electrical and management systems utilized in a data center environment.
