Solution IT Inc. is looking for SAP ABAP Developer for one of its clients Durham, NC (3 days Hybrid)
Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs across multiple SAP modules (ECC or S/4HANA).
- Work onsite with business users and functional consultants to gather requirements and clarify technical needs.
- Design, code, test, and debug ABAP objects including:
- Reports (Classical & ALV)
- Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs)
- Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework)
- Forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms)
- OData services
- Support integration with other SAP and non SAP systems.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and quality assurance activities.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Document technical specifications, test scripts, and deployment steps.
Required Skills:
- 5 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, data structures, and integration points.
- Experience with ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP practices (preferred for S/4HANA environments).
- Solid experience with interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
- Ability to work directly with business stakeholders in an onsite environment.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with S/4HANA development.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 development (bonus).
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
- Prior experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, or finance
