Principal Supplier Engineer supporting Cardiac Diagnostics (CDx). In this high-impact role, you'll lead the integration of
supplier designs, components, and technologies into a global supply chain-ensuring
quality, compliance, and product reliability for life-changing devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead supplier integration for OEM, sub-system, and component designs
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Regulatory teams
- Drive design assurance, process validation, and supplier quality initiatives
- Develop and review quality plans, specifications, and validation documentation
- Manage supplier investigations, CAPA, and complaint resolution
- Conduct and support supplier audits (ISO 13485, regulatory compliance)
- Assess supplier capabilities and support risk management activities
- Identify and implement process and product improvements
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of medical device experience (design controls, validation, CAPA)
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality and regulatory standards (21 CFR 820, MDR)
- Experience with risk management and process validation
- Ability to travel 5-10% (domestic & international)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years in medical device design assurance or supplier engineering
- Experience auditing quality systems (ISO 13485 or similar)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects
- Strong data analysis and continuous improvement mindset
