Summary

Help plan and optimize the infrastructure that supports applications and network services. In this role, you'll analyze capacity and utilization data, build forecasts, and work with engineering and application teams to ensure resources are available as demand changes.

This opportunity blends infrastructure planning, data analysis, and cross-functional problem-solving. You'll help improve forecasting tools and processes, identify capacity risks, and support cost-conscious decisions across private cloud and network environments.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience with infrastructure capacity planning, demand forecasting, utilization analysis, or a related area.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, identify trends, and assess capacity risks.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, large datasets, forecasting, reporting, or data visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data analysis, automation, or modeling.
  • Ability to communicate findings and collaborate with engineering, finance, and application teams.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure lifecycle activities such as capacity modeling, budgeting, hardware refreshes, or decommissioning.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Exposure to private cloud platforms, containers, virtual machines, storage, compute, or network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenStack, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with data center capacity planning, including power, rack, and cooling requirements.
  • Exposure to access network technologies, such as cable or fiber access platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI tools or automation that support analysis and planning.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Gather and prioritize infrastructure demand requirements with engineering and application teams.
  • Build and maintain capacity forecasts, planning tools, models, and inventory.
  • Analyze deployed compute, storage, and network utilization to identify growth needs and potential risks.
  • Support infrastructure sizing, procurement planning, budgeting, and hardware lifecycle recommendations.
  • Partner with engineering teams to validate designs, infrastructure requirements, and equipment lists.
  • Document process improvements, communicate recommendations, and help resolve planning or delivery blockers.
