Job Description
Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Los Angeles, California (hybrid schedule - T,W,TH in-office schedule)
The Operations Accounting team is looking for an experienced professional to support day-to-day accounting activities for Eyeline, Client''s VFX and Virtual Production studio.
Responsibilities:
Own the accounting and month-end close process for Eyeline Studio''s operating expenses to ensure accurate, accrual-based accounting under US GAAP. Operational responsibilities include accruals, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, expense audits, expense flux analyses and forecast vs. actual reviews
Review intercompany and 3rd party revenue calculations with cross-functional partners and prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for intercompany and AR
Assist with accounting inputs for internal management reporting (CFO slides, close packages)
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in FP&A, Finance Procurement Operations and Production Finance to ensure timely and accurate month-end close inputs and deliverables
Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to global, public company month-end close cycles
Solid understanding of US GAAP
CPA or similar designation preferred
Experience with Workday or other cloud-based ERP system is a plus
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and communicate status updates effectively
Organization and attention to detail - The candidate enjoys getting into the weeds to Client and correct the root cause of issues; they can manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines; comfortable navigating large data sets in Excel and Google Sheets
Strong Judgment - The candidate can connect individual issues back to bigger picture financial statement implications; they can solve problems autonomously and exercise judgment when solutions are unclear
