We are seeking a highly skilled Product Specialist 3 to join our development team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a mission-critical enterprise tax system.

This is an Onsite, Contract position requiring a developer who can bridge the gap between complex tax legislation and high-performance technical execution.

The Role

As a core member of the development team, you will automate the logic behind tax calculations, deductions, and credits. You will work in a high-security environment, ensuring that sensitive financial data is protected while staying ahead of ever-changing regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Tax Logic: Design, code, and test complex algorithms and formulas to ensure precise automation of tax regulations.
• Maintain Compliance: Proactively monitor and implement updates to system code and databases in response to new tax laws and mandated filing revisions.
• Ensure Data Security: Build rigorous security controls, encryption, and data validation into the application to protect sensitive information.
• Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside Tax Accountants and Finance professionals to translate complex legislation into clear technical specifications.
• Product Maintenance: Perform impact analysis on production fixes, set defect priorities, and provide high-level product support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Primary Technology Stack: Expert-level proficiency in C#, Visual Studio, and SQL Databases.
• Systems Analysis: Ability to analyze the functional and technical impact of product planning decisions.
• Documentation: Proven track record of documenting technical designs and providing input for training materials.
• Quality Standards: Experience participating in product design reviews to ensure alignment with quality and technical requirements.
• Desired Experience: Prior experience with the GenTax solution is highly preferred.
