DC Technician

Description
This is a long-term ongoing Datacenter Tech opportunity. You will work in the buildout and support of our new datacenter. The initial phase is focused on installation and deployment and a lot of troubleshooting focused on cabling. This is a new liquid cooled site and the techs will get to learn what it's like to work in a liquid cooled environment.
Level1:
Move servers and switches to required destination for installation.
Inspect servers and switches to make sure that they are not damaged in any way.
Smoke test servers to ensure that server is functioning as intended.
Install servers and switches and cable it according to provided wire map.
Make sure that all cables ran are bundled neatly and in accordance with Nvidia's standard.
Double check with network admins to make sure everything is cabled correctly, and all connections are up.
Install additional components needed (NIC, Drive, Memory)
Assist in unboxing and prepping servers as needed
Auditing of servers and consumables
Level 2:
Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate the problem that the server is encountering.
Order replacement parts and install them in servers and ship back the defective part to their respective vendors.
Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed.
Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.
Reach out and assist network admins on any issues they are having with a server that can range from: replacing broken or
damaged cables, re-routing cables to different ports on the server or switch, replacing optics on both server and switch ports,
changing out parts and installing upgraded versions of those parts in servers.
Temporarily rack and stack a server or switch in a cabinet and cable it so the network admin can remotely log in and run
configurations on device.
Assist network admins who reach out requesting specific assistance with servers or switch.
Assist out with Level 1 responsibilities as necessary.
(Must Have) Requirements:
Techs must have Data Center Installation experience and understand troubleshooting cabling (cat6 and fiber). We are currently building out the Data Center and the break/fix troubleshooting will come after the site buildout is complete and operational.
2+ years of DC Tech experience
In rack cable troubleshooting. Cat6 and fiber
Diagnosing, Troubleshooting, Isolating issues on servers (isolate break/fix issues using Linux)
Rack/Stack and configuration of servers and other DC gear
Hands on wiring/cabling

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
