Job Description: Onsite IT Delivery Lead (SAP Retail)
As the Onsite IT Delivery Lead representing ITCI embedded at our San Francisco HQ retail client, you will serve as the primary bridge between the client's business stakeholders and our global offshore delivery teams. You will own the delivery lifecycle of critical SAP Retail initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the organization's high-growth business objectives.
This role requires a blend of deep SAP Retail domain expertise, exceptional client stakeholder management, and a relentless focus on program outcomes rather than just task completion.
Key Responsibilities -
1. Client Stakeholder Management & Communication
Act as the primary, trusted onsite point of contact for the San Francisco HQ retail organization s IT and business leadership.
Translate complex technical challenges into clear business impacts for non-technical stakeholders.
Manage client expectations proactively, navigating conflicting priorities with diplomacy and data-driven insights.
Lead regular governance meetings, steering committee updates, and status reporting.
2. End-to-End Program Outcomes Management
Shift the focus from "deliverables completed" to "business value realized," ensuring SAP solutions directly support the organization's unique Finance, supply chain, merchandising, and corporate operations workflows.
Own project health metrics, including budget tracking, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and timeline adherence.
Identify, escalate, and resolve roadblocks before they impact project critical paths.
3. Onsite-Offshore Delivery Orchestration
Partner closely with the ITCI offshore delivery managers to ensure seamless communication and handoffs across time zones.
Translate the client's business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for the offshore engineering and functional teams.
Provide local context and retail domain guidance to the offshore team to improve first-time delivery quality.
Required Qualifications & Experience
SAP Retail Expertise: Minimum of 6 8 years of experience working closely with SAP Retail modules (e.g., SAP IS-Retail, Finance, Pricing, Inventory Management, or S/4HANA Retail).
Consulting/SI Background: Proven experience working for an IT System Integrator Or with a client in a client-facing, onsite leadership capacity.
Global Delivery Model: Demonstrated success managing large-scale projects utilizing a blended onsite/offshore resourcing model.
Stakeholder Influence: A track record of successfully managing senior client stakeholders (Director/VP level) and driving alignment across business and IT units.
Retail Industry Acumen: Deep understanding of modern retail supply chain, omnichannel commerce, and store operations workflows.
