Role Location & Travel RequirementsThis position supports the
Richmond, VA market, focusing on DAS and low-voltage installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, RMA work, and public-safety communications. Work environments include new builds, existing campuses, hospitals, schools, stadiums, and commercial facilities.
- Home base: Richmond, VA
- Travel required, including overnight stays up to 4 nights at a time
- Occasional travel to the Tennessee market

- $65/day per diem
- On-call rotation every 6-8 weeks
Position SummaryThe DAS Maintenance Technician will support system maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and warranty activities across university campuses, stadiums, commercial buildings, and public-safety environments. This role provides day-2 support after system turn-up and is responsible for long-term customer system health, RMA work, and legacy DAS network maintenance.
This is a
40-hour workweek with opportunities for overtime. It is a
long-term, full-time opportunity, structured as a 6-month contract-to-hire with a strong history of conversion.
Top Skills1. DAS Maintenance Experience- 2-4 years of hands-on DAS experience, including installation, day-2 support, integration, and maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and testing background in DAS environments
2. Technical Proficiency- Fiber testing & troubleshooting (Fluke, AFL, OTDR required)
- Fiber scoping and single-mode splicing
- Familiarity with major OEMs: JMA, Corning, Comba, CommScope
- Experience with PIM/Sweep testing and coax/fiber diagnostics

Work Environment- Monday-Friday schedule (current shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
