Configuration Analyst

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Analyst to support hardware lifecycle management, device configuration, software migrations, testing, and asset readiness activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring hardware assets are properly configured, tested, documented, and prepared for deployment into production environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting device refresh initiatives, hardware deployments, asset management programs, or technical support environments. This individual will work closely with warehouse, logistics, facilities, and technical operations teams to ensure equipment is accurately upgraded, tested, documented, and prepared for field deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, test, and validate hardware assets prior to deployment.
- Perform hardware quality assurance (QA) testing and functionality verification.
- Execute software migrations, upgrades, and device refresh activities.
- Document testing results, configuration details, and asset information within internal systems and databases.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues discovered during testing and configuration processes.
- Ensure devices meet operational standards before deployment to field personnel.
- Coordinate with warehouse and facilities teams regarding equipment inventory, staging, shipping, and asset readiness.
- Track asset status throughout the configuration and deployment lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate asset records and configuration documentation.
- Validate software installations, operating system updates, firmware updates, and application deployments.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and asset management activities.
- Support hardware refresh projects and technology upgrade initiatives.
- Follow established processes and quality standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Escalate technical issues and defects when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support, configuration, asset management, help desk, deployment, or hardware support role.
- Experience working with hardware devices, workstations, laptops, network equipment, or related technology assets.
- Familiarity with hardware testing, device configuration, and technology deployment processes.
- Experience documenting work activities and maintaining accurate records in databases or tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic troubleshooting experience related to hardware and software issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting device refresh programs or large-scale hardware deployments.
- Help Desk or Desktop Support experience.
- Experience with asset lifecycle management and inventory tracking.
- Familiarity with hardware staging, imaging, and configuration processes.
- Experience supporting software migrations and operating system upgrades.
- Exposure to warehouse operations, logistics coordination, or technical asset management.
- Experience working with ticketing systems and asset management platforms.

Experience supporting large-scale hardware refreshes, upgrades, and deployment initiatives will be highly valued.
