We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining our manufacturing processes while working to improve quality, reduce costs and increase productivity. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer who is passionate about continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
2. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
3. Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
4. Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
5. Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
6. Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
7. Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
8. Collaborate with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods.
9. Use AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo or other relevant software to design and implement new production processes.
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing lean manufacturing principles and supervising their progress.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
3. Proficient with AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo or equivalent.
4. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
6. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
7. Strong analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Knowledge of safety standards and compliance.
10. Certified in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
