Summary

SAP CATS / Time Management Consultant (SSAM & WFS)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP CATS & Time Management Consultant to support a specific payroll-time integration requirement for a large power utility client. The role involves designing the logic to calculate unproductive time by leveraging CATS productive time and WFS (Workforce Scheduling) total time, then posting that unproductive time back into CATS for seamless payroll and PM integration.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of SAP CATS (Cross-Application Time Sheet) experience including CAT2 time entry, CATS-API, and time posting configurations
  • Hands-on experience with SSAM (Shift Schedule & Attendance Management)
  • Strong understanding of WFS / Workforce Scheduling integration with SAP
  • Knowledge of SAP Time Evaluation (PCRs, schemas, and time types)
  • Experience with Payroll integration—understanding how time flows from CATS to PY
  • Ability to design and configure productive vs. unproductive time splitting logic
  • ABAP debugging skills (nice to have, not mandatory)

Nice to Have

  • Utilities / Power Generation industry experience
  • Prior work with S/4HANA Time Management
  • CATS custom development (Z-programs, BADIs, user exits)
  • Experience with CATS integration to PM (Plant Maintenance) and HR modules

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the current CATS and WFS setup for the client
  • Design the logic to calculate unproductive time using: WFS Total Time − CATS Productive Time = Unproductive Time
  • Configure and post unproductive time entries back to CATS
  • Ensure proper integration with S/4HANA, PM, and HR modules
  • Work collaboratively with onsite/offshore teams and client stakeholders
  • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer
