Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for transforming enterprise data into meaningful insights through modern reporting and analytics tools. This role focuses on building scalable dashboards, optimizing datasets, and strengthening the organization’s self-service analytics capabilities.

The position works closely with business leaders, data engineers, and technical teams to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, efficient, and aligned with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions.

• Build and refine analytical datasets using modern data platforms.

• Optimize reporting assets for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with technical teams to enhance data models and pipeline efficiency.

• Establish and promote best practices for dataset governance, documentation, and usage standards.

• Validate and reconcile data to ensure consistency across reporting environments.

• Support data stewardship efforts, including access controls and lifecycle management.

• Provide guidance and training to business users to expand self-service reporting capabilities.

• Create documentation and reference materials for reporting tools and processes.

• Present findings and insights in a clear, actionable manner to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive experience in business intelligence, reporting, or analytics roles.

• Advanced proficiency with Power BI (including data modeling and calculation development).

• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience working in a cloud-based data environment such as Snowflake.

• Experience designing and supporting reusable datasets for enterprise reporting.

• Knowledge of relational database concepts and enterprise data management practices.

• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-wide self-service analytics initiatives.

• Familiarity with performance tuning and reporting optimization techniques.
