PC Technician 

Summary

This short-term position exists to cover an immediate team member medical leave, specifically focusing on clearing a backlog of laptop deployments and daily ticketing workflows. The role supports the local IT service team by taking full ownership of incoming hardware provisioning requests, device preparation, and basic desktop troubleshooting.

An incoming technician will step straight into an active deployment queue to ensure internal employees receive their hardware efficiently and without standard service delays.

Responsibilities

• Image, provision, and deploy laptop hardware within an enterprise environment.
• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune.
• Process, track, and resolve daily incoming deployment tickets using ServiceNow.
• Build and prepare devices efficiently to clear an active hardware backlog.
• Coordinate the physical deployment and initial configuration of workstation hardware onsite.
• Deliver direct customer support, ensuring a clear and positive hardware handoff experience.
• Document device updates, serial numbers, and deployment steps within the ticketing system.
• Maintain an organized physical workspace and clear tracking of the deployment queue.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in imaging and deploying laptop devices in a corporate environment.
• Hands-on proficiency using Microsoft Intune for active endpoint management and device provisioning.
• Direct experience utilizing ServiceNow for enterprise incident and service request management.
• Strong physical and logical hardware troubleshooting skills for corporate laptops.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a high-volume hardware deployment queue independently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting quick-turnaround corporate hardware refreshes or bulk deployment initiatives.
• Familiarity with local asset tagging, inventory logging, and hardware tracking protocols.
• Prior experience stepping into temporary or backfill support roles with minimal orientation.
