ResponsibilitiesWe are hiring a full-time Senior Analyst to join the Ascension Data Sciences Institute.
The
Ascension Data Sciences Institute (ADSI) was created in July 2019 with the mission of supporting Ascension in achieving its Quadruple Aim with uniquely skilled, high-performing associates who develop analyses, models and applications to enable Ascension in providing higher value healthcare and making strategic decisions. ADSI comprises domains addressing 1) Clinical quality and patient safety; 2) Strategic Operations and Financial Analytics; 3) Actuarial and Managed Care Analytics; 4) Registry Abstraction Healthcare Solutions; and 5) Healthcare Data Intelligence. We recognize that the healthcare environment is a complex ecosystem of rapidly evolving clinical and economic practices that affect patient and provider experience and demands increasingly sophisticated and complex measurement. ADSI Growth and Consumer Experience team.
What You Will DoThis position seeks an Ascension Senior Data Analyst to furnish strategic insights regarding network rates using internal and external data sources, help with business development dashboards and SQL and generating and analyzing business development reports across multiple data sources. The successful candidate will be responsible for data analytics that support the effective implementation of national business development initiatives. Projects will typically encompass the analysis of patient flow across the care continuum, the execution of strategy provider network analyses, understand provider rosters and impact on network rates, and the identification of factors converting referrals to appointments.
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for:
- Compile analytical and statistical reports as needed.
- Formulate, define and recommend scope and format of reports.
- Oversee provision of ad hoc management reports.
- May provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff on how to access reports and interpret the data.
- Identify data trends and make recommendations for stakeholder decisions
- Compile and analyze multiple data sources to support national, local market, and business unit (imaging, pharmacy, lab, therapy, surgery, etc.) strategy decisions
RequirementsEducation:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience preferred.
Additional Preferences- 2 years experience and/or education preferred
- Experience with healthcare industry, healthcare claims data, and/or corporate strategy is preferred
- Experience with advanced analytic tools like SQL, R, and/or python is strongly preferred
- Experience with advanced visualization tools like Tableau and/or Looker is strongly preferred
- Experience with Athena, Epic and Cerner strongly preferred
- Experience with Salesforce
