Starting pay is $27.70 plus $0.50 shift adder on day shift, $2.00 on night shift, or $2.50 if rotating.

Operations Schedule:

This siteoperates continuously24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Scope of Work:

Mechanically skilled technicians performvarious typesof work, such as:

  • Maintainingand troubleshooting automated equipment included but not limited to autonomous robots responsible for case,layerand/or pallet movements
  • Performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment
  • Troubleshooting, monitoring, & improvingequipmentand systems
  • Analyzing trends and technical data to gain insights of the equipment and systems, andidentifyissues proactively
  • Building technical skills in others

Work Hours:

Able to work 12-hour shifts, schedule options vary including a 2-2-3 bi-weekly rotation schedule, straight days, straight nights. Shifts are assigned depending on businessneed. We cannot guarantee your preference of shift is what you will be assigned.

Flexibility:

Technicians may work rotating shifts.

Overtime:

Overtime may berequiredon weekends and/or holidays.

Mechanically skilled technicians are being hired as skilled members of our warehouse operations teams. Mechanically skilled techniciansare responsible forreducing equipment downtime, troubleshooting mechanical and systematic issues,eliminatingdefects, and building technical mastery. They focus on initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects with the goal of delivering the best product, at the lowest cost, with the highest quality,on time everytime, and in a safe environment. They have mechanical technical masteryin order tosuccessfully troubleshoot problems and to proactively improve production systems.Mechanically skilled technicians have the opportunity to become equipment area owners.This could involve creating processes and designs to improve theirareasperformance.

Job Qualifications

Requirements to Apply:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED & 2-years of technical experience in manufacturing or like industry
  • Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment
  • Should be knowledgeable aboutdifferent typesof machinery and equipment commonly used in manufacturingincluding:various typesof engines, pumps, compressors, conveyors, gears, bearings, and other mechanical components. Understanding the working principles, construction, and operational characteristics of these systems enables technicians to diagnose problems and perform maintenance or repairs.
  • Proficiencyin using a wide range of tools and instruments is essential for a mechanical technician. They should be well-versed in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments for tasks such as disassembly, assembly, measurement, alignment, and testing.
  • System Integration: In addition to understanding individual components, a mechanical technician should have a grasp of how various components interact within a larger system. This includes knowledge of system integration, control mechanisms, automation, and interconnections with electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems. Understanding system behavior and interdependencies is crucial for effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis for mechanical issues
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills

Successful completion of a Technical Interview will berequiredas part of the application process. Upon hire, you will be expected to remain inyourdepartment for at least18 monthsbefore being eligible for roles in alternate departments.
