Role Summary

We’re looking for a seasoned WCS Developer to design, build and modernize E-commerce capabilities by refactoring legacy WCS components into Spring Boot-based microservices, integrating with search pricing promo item catalog and order cart checkout domains and collaborating with frontend squads implementing React. The ideal candidate brings deep Java WCS expertise solid microservices architecture skills and handson experience integrating with Kafka REST GraphQL and cloudnative toolchains

Key Responsibilities

 Design Development Backend

·       Implement Spring Boot microservices for item catalog price promo, inventory search integration cart checkout orders, and BFF integration layers

·       Refactor WCS customizations Catalog Order Member Payment SolrSearch Commerce Composer into domain-aligned services with clear API contracts REST GraphQL

Integration Data Orchestration

·       Build orchestration and saga flows to aggregate data across WCSOMSPIMERP, implement cache-first strategies, RedisNoSQL and streaming data sync from JDAWCS

·       Implement Kafka topics for asynchronous events ensure schema governance and backward compatibility via BFFadapter layers 

Quality Security Observability

·       Own unitintegrationcontracte2e tests instrument services using ActuatorOpenTelemetry PrometheusGrafana design resilience patterns, circuit breakers, and retries

·       Implement OAuth2JWTRBAC audit logging and secure API design aligned with enterprise standards

Frontend Collaboration Nicetohave

·       Partner with React teams on GraphQL schemas and API design support PLPDSL browse PDP flows migration from WCS to microservices

DevOps Delivery

·       Contribute to CICD pipelines Docker Kubernetes performance tuning and phased cut over shyper care during releases

Must Have Skills

·       Core Java 811 Spring Boot Spring MVCWebFlux REST APIs microservices architecture JPAHibernate SQLNoSQL

·       Commerce Strong hands on with HCL Commerce IBM WCS 789 including Catalog Order Member Payment Solr and customizationsextensions

·       Integration Kafka API gateways, messaging patterns GraphQL exposure for BFF layers caching Redis search integration eg SolrCoveo

·       Quality Ops Unit integration contract testing performance profiling observability Actuator Prometheus OpenTelemetry resilience patterns

·       Ways of Working AgileScrum backlog refinement code reviews secure coding ability to lead development and collaborate with offshore teams
