Systems Analyst 3

Introduction:

As a Systems Analyst 3, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the State of Texas applicable policies and federal labor laws. You will utilize your extensive technical skillsets in tools such as Business Objects, SQR, BI Publisher, and SAP Business Objects to support various functional responsibilities within a statewide ERP instance. Your expertise in system configuration changes, oversight of batch jobs, and knowledge of security best practices will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize technical skillsets in tools such as Business Objects, SQR, BI Publisher, SAP Business Objects, etc. to support functional responsibilities
  • Perform system configuration changes and provide oversight with batch jobs
  • Ensure compliance with State of Texas applicable policies and federal labor laws
  • Implement security best practices, NIST standards, and multi-tenancy applicability for a statewide ERP instance
  • Support a large network of Texas state government agencies
  • Configure and code to remain compliant with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Prepare WCAG 2.1-compliant materials for distribution
  • Conduct production support activities for CPA’s legacy Statewide Financial Systems

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of State of Texas applicable policies
  • Extensive knowledge of federal labor laws
  • Experience with Business Objects, SQR, BI Publisher, SAP Business Objects
  • Experience with App Designer, Integration Broker, assorted SQR/SQL
  • Experience with Run My Jobs (RMJ) batch jobs
  • Knowledge of security best practices, NIST standards, and multi-tenancy applicability
  • Texas public sector experience
  • Subject Matter Expertise in configuring and coding for FMLA compliance
  • Experience preparing WCAG 2.1-compliant materials
  • Experience with production support activities for legacy Financial Systems

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with additional technical tools and systems
  • Certifications in relevant areas
  • Experience working in a similar role within the public sector
