Job Description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Software Developer to work in Quantico, VA . Please note this role is contingent upon additional funding.

General Description:

Are you ready to play crucial role in supporting cutting-edge technology for federal law enforcement and scientific organizations? ECS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to provide IT services and support for hardware, IT systems, applications, and operational technologies that support mission critical operations in support of our DOJ FBI Client. The scope of this program is to enhance enterprise IT services and solutions to this FBI component to provide best-in-class end-user support and drive improvements in the operations, management, maintenance and integration of services across multiple networks, systems, and applications to enable and enhance mission operations for law enforcement capabilities.

In this role, you will be working at the intersection of traditional IT and specialized scientific and operational technology systems to ensure functionality, performance, availability, responsiveness of supported IT systems and services. You will be accountable for managing server performance against service delivery objectives and identifying and implementing operational improvements to promote efficiency within the organization.

  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software
    • Be able to thoroughly document code through .Net XML Documentation.
    • Be able to handle Version Control Management tools such as Github/Gitlab in order to create Branches from Trunk, Shelvesets, Peer Reviews, etc.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to software applications; resolve systems integration and compatibility issues
  • Support software testing as required, including developing automated test scripts using automation tools
  • Interact with required stakeholders
  • Support continuous innovation by implementing the best practices to improve technology tools and processes to increase team efficiency and technical execution
  • Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable

Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000

Required Skills

  • with an active Top Secret Clearance
  • 8 years software development experience
  • Working knowledge of using C#, .NET Framework, .Net Core, Javascript, Razor, WinForms, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework, VB.NET, C++, XML, LINQ, MSBuild PowerShell, MSReport Builder, InstallShield
  • SQL Server 2019 or greater, including T-SQL scripting, modification of stored procedures, managing views, working within SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) etc.
  • Power BI report generation and modification
  • Familiarity with writing unit tests and their role in a Continuous Integration environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required
  • Strong attention to detail, highly developed critical thinking skills, and solid trouble shooting ability


Desired Skills

  • Understanding of engineering modeling languages, such as ER diagrams, UML Sequence diagrams or other engineering artifacts
  • Agile/scrum development experience
  • Experience writing and reviewing automated test scripts
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with Jira
