Title: Principal / Senior Data Architect   Active Metadata, Semantic Data & Data Governance
Location: Menlo Park, CA   Remote

Job Description 

• 10+ years in Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Strategy, Metadata Engineering, and Semantic Data Design.

• Architect SelfHealing Data Fabric and metadatadriven automation across enterprise platforms.

• Deep experience building Active Metadata Infrastructure and closedloop automation for data quality and governance.

• Implement metadatatriggered pipelines for schema drift detection, automated repair, remediation, and rollback.

• Expert in RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL for ontologydriven modeling, semantic reasoning, and knowledge graph design.

• Build contextaware knowledge graphs enabling semantic search, lineage, discovery, and policy reasoning.

• Handson experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) or equivalent PolicyasCode frameworks for zerotrust data access.

• Implement programmatic governance, automated compliance, and finegrained data access controls.

• Experience with DataHub Actions Framework for eventdriven metadata orchestration and automated dataquality workflows.

• Experience with Caelum or Amundsen pushevents for realtime metadata ingestion, schema management, and drift remediation.

• Strong understanding of eventdriven architecture, data virtualization, zerocopy data sharing, and enterprise governance.

• Proven ability to automate schema rollback, structural drift remediation, and metadatadriven orchestration pipelines.

• Master s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Formal Methods, Symbolic Logic, or Computational Mathematics preferred.
