Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Architect to design and lead enterprise-grade solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and Power Pages. The architect will be responsible for defining solution architecture, governance, security, integration patterns, and development standards while working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and secure solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Define architecture for Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
  • Translate business requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.
  • Establish Power Platform governance, security, ALM, environments, and deployment strategies.
  • Design integrations between Power Platform and enterprise systems such as Dynamics 365, Azure, SharePoint, SQL Server, SAP, and third-party APIs.
  • Define appropriate use of custom connectors, APIs, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and other Azure services.
  • Implement and promote Center of Excellence (CoE) and Power Platform governance practices.
  • Guide development teams on best practices, coding standards, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Review technical designs and provide architectural guidance.
  • Establish CI/CD and DevOps processes for Power Platform solutions.
  • Ensure solutions comply with organizational security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct architecture assessments, identify technical risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Mentor Power Platform developers and technical leads.
  • Work with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to align solutions with overall IT strategy.

Responsibility:

  • Designs the overall Power Platform architecture — deciding how Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Power Pages, etc. should fit together.
  • Turns business problems into technology solutions. For example, a team might have a manual process for approvals, project tracking, procurement, reporting, or financial operations. The architect designs a scalable Power Platform solution for it.
  • Sets governance and security standards — who can create apps, how data is protected, permissions, environments, DLP policies, compliance, and integration standards.
  • Works with business teams and developers. They are usually not just writing Power Apps themselves; they guide developers, analysts, consultants, and business stakeholders.
  • Integrates Power Platform with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, Microsoft 365, Azure.
  • Reviews and approves solutions so that individual teams don't build hundreds of disconnected apps and automations.
  • Drives automation and digital transformation. For example, Power Automate can replace repetitive manual work with automated workflows. The client has explored Power Automate and AI Builder for business use cases.
  • Thinks about long-term architecture and scalability, rather than just whether an individual app works.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • Power Apps
    • Power Automate
    • Dataverse
    • Power BI
    • Power Pages

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and integration patterns.
  • Experience with Azure services, APIs, REST/SOAP, and enterprise integration.
  • Strong knowledge of security roles, authentication, authorization, and identity management.
  • Experience with Power Platform ALM, solutions, managed/unmanaged solutions, and CI/CD.
  • Experience implementing Power Platform governance and CoE.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure DevOps/Git, and Power Platform pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, relational databases, and enterprise application architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  • PL-400 – Power Platform Developer
  • PL-200 – Power Platform Functional Consultant
  • PL-300 – Power BI Data Analyst
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104/AZ-305
