Job Title: Test Engineer II

Pay Range: $55/hr -$64/hr on W2 (DOE)
Job SummaryWe are seeking a
Test Engineer II to support the validation and testing of next-generation Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) transmitters. This role focuses on developing and executing test strategies for embedded firmware, ensuring product quality within an FDA-regulated environment. The ideal candidate brings strong programming skills, experience with test automation, and a solid understanding of embedded systems and wireless technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Execute existing test cases and develop/modify test interfaces for new or updated firmware features.
- Design and implement automated and manual test solutions for embedded systems and CGM transmitters.
- Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test reports, and traceability matrices in compliance with FDA regulations.
- Perform debugging by analyzing logs, configuration files, and code to identify root causes of issues.
- Document and track software defects using bug tracking systems and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Work with analog and digital hardware interfaces, as well as embedded operating systems.
- Apply principles of low-power system design and implementation in testing scenarios.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and improvement of new and existing products.
- Identify risks, proactively mitigate issues, and resolve technical roadblocks.
- Drive engineering and quality process improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Support cost optimization and product efficiency initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, C#, or similar).
- Strong understanding of embedded firmware/software systems.
- Experience with test automation and test development.
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols and product testing.
- Ability to debug issues by analyzing logs, configurations, and code.
- Experience working in regulated environments (preferably FDA or similar).
Preferred Qualifications- Hands-on experience with Java and/or C#.
- Experience working with embedded devices or IoT products.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
