Summary
Role: Oracle WACS Consultant
Location: Remote/MST
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle WACS (Warehouse Automation Cloud Service) Consultant to design, implement, configure, and support Oracle WACS solutions integrated with Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud (WMS) and related enterprise systems. The consultant will work closely with business and technical teams to optimize warehouse automation, material handling, and system integration processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze warehouse business processes and translate requirements into Oracle WACS solutions.
- Configure and implement Oracle WACS based on warehouse automation requirements.
- Design and support integrations between Oracle WACS, Oracle WMS Cloud, WES/WCS, PLCs, conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, AMRs, and other automation equipment.
- Configure workflows, equipment interfaces, routing, task management, and automation rules.
- Work with warehouse operations teams to understand inbound, outbound, picking, replenishment, packing, and shipping processes.
- Develop functional and technical specifications for WACS integrations and customizations.
- Troubleshoot integration, configuration, and production issues and coordinate with Oracle/support teams when required.
- Perform system testing, integration testing, UAT, and production deployment activities.
- Support data mapping, interface validation, error handling, and monitoring.
- Participate in solution design, requirements gathering, workshops, and technical discussions.
- Prepare configuration documents, test scripts, process documentation, and user training materials.
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Ensure solutions follow Oracle best practices, security standards, and project architecture guidelines.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with Oracle WACS / Warehouse Automation Cloud Service.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle WMS Cloud.
- Understanding of warehouse automation and material-handling systems.
- Experience integrating WACS/WMS with WCS, WES, PLCs, conveyors, sortation systems, AS/RS, robotics, or automated storage/retrieval equipment.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, JSON/XML, and system integration concepts.
- Experience with interface monitoring, troubleshooting, and error resolution.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes such as:
- Receiving and putaway
- Picking and replenishment
- Packing and shipping
- Wave/order management
- Inventory movements
- Cross-docking
- Automation-driven task execution
- Experience with functional and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle WMS Cloud certification or relevant Oracle certifications.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud applications and integration technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Experience with cloud-based warehouse automation implementations.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience working on large-scale warehouse automation or distribution-center implementations.
Education
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Experience
5–10+ years of experience in Oracle WMS/warehouse automation, with significant hands-on experience in Oracle WACS and system integration.
