Google Looker Engineer

Position: Google Looker Engineer
Location: Remote (Must work EST hours)

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Google Looker
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience building dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension tables, joins, aggregations)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
• Familiarity with MicroStrategy or other BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with data transformation tools (dbt, Airflow, etc.)
• Knowledge of version control (Git)

Exposure to data governance and security best practices
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data models using LookML in Google Looker
• Design and build interactive dashboards and reports for business users
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
• Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and accuracy
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure clean and reliable data pipelines
• Implement best practices for data governance, consistency, and security
• Support end users by troubleshooting dashboards and data issues

Conduct data validation and ensure accuracy of key business metrics
