Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop digital receivers and transmitters for low-energy short-range communication markets.
- Develop DSP algorithm for low-energy short-range receivers and transmitters digital baseband processors, which result in superior and competitive performance characteristics.
- Create software scripts to control, evaluate and improve low-energy system-on-chip, which combine RF front ends, with data converters, baseband processors, power distribution networks and clock distribution circuitry.
- Engage with customers to translate their system requirements into the next generation product definitions.
- Perform RF system-level design and development to optimize intelligent integrated RF/wireless communication system-on-chip (SOC).
- Define RF and Digital systems for the Radio IP used in industrial, healthcare, and IoT markets.
As a Senior wireless system engineer, you will work on system design/optimization and algorithm development. You will be involved in all the major phases of RF SOC product development cycles, including product definition, RF system design, RF circuit design, RF firmware implementation, as well as customer support and problem-solving.
A successful candidate must understand basic communication theories, DSP concepts, and wireless transceiver structure. Candidate must be able to use popular languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, and C++ for modeling, testing, and function, and be familiar with RF systems and architectures. The candidate must have hands-on experience with FPGA. The candidate is preferred to have knowledge of hardware description languages, such as Verilog. The candidate is also desired to have some understanding of microwave engineering, antenna theory, RF circuits, and basic modern wireless communication systems. The candidate is preferred to possess hands-on skills in lab measurements (Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, VSA). This position will also help the business team to support customers on critical issues and win new customers.
