Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams and is focused on serving the needs of the team to drive performance and growth. The Scrum Master coordinates and facilitates Scrum ceremonies, manages dependencies, provides visibility into team delivery plans, and enables continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities: - Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices, and develop their understanding of Agile principles
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives)
- In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs
- Help the team define and enforce norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
- Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner
- Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the team
- Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments
- Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
- Enable the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance, and review metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
Requirements: - Proven experience as an Agile Scrum Master
- Expert knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Practical working experience guiding and coaching teams on the implementation of agile best practices and changing mindsets
- Knowledge of enterprise implementation of Scaled Agile
- Practical knowledge of supported applications and ability to work with very demanding line-of-business partners
- Proficiency in Agile Practices, Business Acumen, DevOps Practices, and Risk Management
- Strong skills in Collaboration, Influence, and Stakeholder Management
Desired skills: - Certifications from Scaled Agile or Scrum Alliance
Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
