Job Title: Senior Solution Architect – Healthcare Payer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect with deep and long-standing Healthcare Payer domain experience to lead enterprise-scale architecture initiatives. This role is responsible for aligning business strategy with technical execution across multiple programs, leading proof-of-concept initiatives, and defining scalable, secure, and cloud-native solution architectures.

The ideal candidate combines strong healthcare payer expertise with hands-on architectural leadership across cloud platforms, integrations, DevOps, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

• Define and communicate a shared solution and technical architecture vision across multiple teams and initiatives
• Align technology strategy with business objectives for healthcare payer programs
• Design, evolve, and govern enterprise solution architectures ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
• Maintain architectural runway and define technical enablers

Technical Leadership

• Lead and deliver Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives
• Assess and recommend data acquisition, transformation, and integration strategies
• Define and document non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, compliance)
• Identify technical debt, high-risk areas, and performance bottlenecks and recommend resolutions
• Guide cloud-native deployments and re-architecture for optimal performance

Delivery Enablement

• Enable continuous delivery through architectural guidance and DevOps best practices
• Collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs), vendors, and partners to ensure consistent technical direction
• Provide architectural oversight for microservices, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized solutions

Collaboration & Governance

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, customers, partners, and engineering teams
• Evaluate and review architectural designs and deliverables from other architects
• Perform due diligence on existing systems, platforms, and engineering teams
• Create reusable technical artifacts, templates, and standards

Mentorship

• Mentor architects and senior engineers
• Provide thought leadership and recommend adoption of emerging technologies where appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and/or solution architecture
• Strong Healthcare Payer domain experience (mandatory)
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale architecture initiatives
• Expertise in at least two technical domains, such as:
  • Cloud (AWS and/or Azure)
  • APIs & Integrations
  • DevOps / CI-CD
  • Security
  • Application Architecture
• Experience with:
  • Microservices architecture
  • Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare regulatory and compliance environments
• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications such as:
  • Azure Solution Architect
  • AWS Architect
  • SAFe / Scrum
  • Healthcare interoperability (FHIR)

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Healthcare Payer experience is mandatory
• Long-term healthcare domain exposure required
