Job Description

We are seeking a Python Developer, Data Protection Services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building Python-based APIs and microservices using FastAPI and Beanie, integrating with SaaS vendor platforms, and enabling secure data protection capabilities and a proven ability to deliver scalable services that detect and protect sensitive data across structured and unstructured sources, while automating workflows and enabling downstream integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Onboard and maintain API microservices that integrate with the enterprise tech ecosystem to support sensitive data detection and ensure scan results flow to downstream systems.
• Deliver development and operational tasks across service delivery, task automation, DevOps activities, and participation in an on-call rotation.
• Build automation and observability solutions to drive continuous improvement of data security services.
• Participate in design and code reviews with the Data Protection Dev squad and stakeholder groups.
• Contribute within the team’s agile processes, ceremonies, and delivery norms.
• Share knowledge across global squads and chapters through documentation, presentations, and internal postings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Python development with FastAPI and Beanie for API and microservice design.
• DevOps proficiency with Git, Jenkins, and test automation practices.
• Operating systems expertise in Linux and working knowledge of Windows.
• Agile delivery experience using Jira and collaborative workflows.
• Database experience with MongoDB, including schema design and performance fundamentals.
• Networking troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
• Knowledge of critical cybersecurity controls and secure coding practices.
• Working knowledge of AI SDLC, including secure and governed use of AI across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement with appropriate human oversight.

Preferred Skills:

• Data analytics, Java, Spring Boot, and one of ReactJS or AngularJS.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• SRE tooling such as Flux, Grafana, and Loki.
• Experience with data security products like BigID and Varonis.
• Snyk for application security scanning and remediation
