Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Salesforce Engineering to lead our Salesforce team in delivering scalable, secure, and innovative solutions for ProcessQ. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strategic oversight to ensure successful Salesforce platform delivery aligned with business goals.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and career development planning.
  • Advocate for team priorities within broader engineering and product organizations.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top Salesforce talent.
  • Promote DevOps practices and a continuous delivery mindset.
  • Build inclusive, high-trust team environments that empower individuals.

Technical Delivery & Innovation

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Salesforce initiatives, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Define and enforce development standards, code quality, and deployment processes.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, releases, and ecosystem trends.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting new tools, features, and integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in Governance COE and Architecture Review Boards.

Architecture & Development

  • Design scalable solutions across Sales, Service, Experience, Revenue, and Financial Clouds.
  • Develop and support:
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Aura components
    • Visualforce pages
    • Dynamic forms
  • Implement secure coding practices and optimize platform performance.
  • Lead CI/CD implementation using tools like Copado and Git.
  • Refactor existing solutions to improve maintainability and efficiency.
  • Establish logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and data issues.

Integration & Data Collaboration

  • Design and manage integrations using Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Work with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft.
  • Provide OpenAPI Specifications (OAS) for external integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data modeling and access.
  • Support functional and non-functional testing teams.

Collaboration & Agile Execution

  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, demos, grooming).
  • Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and process improvements.
  • Support cross-team dependencies and Agile Release Train (SAFe) planning.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of technical leadership and people management experience.
  • 7–8 years of hands-on Salesforce development and administration experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Apex, LWC, Aura
    • SOQL/SOSL, Flows (screen, record-triggered, auto-launch)
    • Apex triggers, batch and scheduled classes
    • Salesforce security model (Profiles, Permission Sets, Roles, Sharing Rules)
    • Data modeling, validation rules, and formulas
    • Performance optimization and secure programming practices
    • Developer Console, CLI, Debug Logs, Query Optimizer
    • Salesforce APIs and integration patterns
    • CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado)
    • Git workflows and code review processes
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (SAFe preferred).
  • Experience with MuleSoft or similar middleware tools.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Required Certifications:
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator
    • Salesforce Advanced Administrator
    • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Revenue Cloud Consultant
    • Integration Architecture Designer

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with VS Code and modern development practices.
  • Strong understanding of design and development best practices.
