Location: Sacramento, CA (North Natomas office) — In-office required, no remote
Employment Type: Part-Time (approx. [20–25] hours/week)
Travel: 2–3 trips per month to client sites in the SF Bay Area and Sacramento areas (mileage reimbursed)
About Us
We are a Sacramento-based IT managed services provider (MSP) supporting municipal, public safety, and enterprise clients across Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. We manage multi-vendor infrastructure — firewalls, networks, servers, and Microsoft 365 environments — for organizations that depend on reliable, secure IT every day. This is a hands-on role where you''ll get real exposure to enterprise-grade tools and environments most help desk jobs never touch.
The Role
We''re looking for a sharp, dependable Help Desk Technician to be the first line of support for our client base. You''ll work out of our Sacramento office handling inbound tickets, remote support sessions, and endpoint management — and travel with us to Bay Area client sites 2–3 times a month for on-site work (deployments, hardware swaps, user support, site walkthroughs).
This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available for this role.
What You''ll Do
- Provide Tier 1 support to end users via phone, email, and remote sessions, and occasionally in person
- Triage, document, and resolve tickets in our PSA/ticketing system
- Support Windows 10/11 endpoints, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Entra ID/Active Directory (password resets, account provisioning, onboarding/offboarding)
- Deploy, image, and configure workstations, laptops, and peripherals
- Assist with patching and endpoint management through our RMM platform
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN client issues)
- Travel to Bay Area client sites 2–3 times per month for on-site support and project work
- Maintain clear, professional documentation of work performed
- Represent the company professionally with municipal and public-sector clients
What We''re Looking For
- 1–3 years of help desk, desktop support, or MSP experience (MSP experience strongly preferred)
- Solid Windows 10/11 troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Active Directory/Entra ID basics
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
- Strong written and verbal communication — you''ll interact directly with client staff, including city and public safety personnel
- Self-starter who can work independently and manage time well in a small-team environment
- Valid California driver''s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to the Bay Area 2–3 times monthly
- Ability to pass a background check (required for our municipal and public safety clients)
- Able to lift and move IT equipment (up to ~40 lbs)
Nice to Have
- Experience with RMM platforms (TacticalRMM, ConnectWise Automate, or similar)
- Exposure to firewalls and network gear (UniFi, Cisco, Juniper, Aruba/HP)
- Basic PowerShell or scripting skills
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification
- Virtualization exposure (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V)
Bonus: Social Media / Marketing Skills
If you''re also savvy with social media and digital marketing — content creation, short-form video, or managing a business''s online presence — we''d love to put those skills to work promoting our brands. Candidates with marketing chops may have the opportunity to expand their hours and responsibilities beyond the help desk. Tell us about it in your application.
Why Join Us
