Entry-Level Help Desk Technician - Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level Help Desk Technician to provide frontline technical support to end users. This role is ideal for someone with 1+ years of help desk or IT support experience who is eager to grow their technical skills while delivering excellent customer service. A positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential, as this role involves frequent interaction with end users.
Responsibilities- Provide first-level technical support to end users, assisting with basic hardware, software, and access issues.
- Troubleshoot common IT problems and resolve incidents or service requests in a timely manner.
- Log, track, and document support requests using a ticketing system, ensuring accurate and complete information.
- Communicate clearly with end users to understand technical issues and provide status updates.
- Escalate more complex issues to IT staff or specialized teams as needed.
- Support users onsite at local Vermont locations when required.
- Follow documented processes and procedures while learning new systems and tools.
Required Skills & Experience- 1+ years of experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk, or IT support role
- Experience working with a ticketing system.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Work Environment- this role is primarily remote, may require 1 day a month onsite but we've had individuals on the team remain remote depending on location
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Burlington, VT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
