This role is primarily focused on implementing and maintaining PTC Windchill. Secondarily, this will focus on other PLM and ALM tools such as PTC RV&S and 3DExperience as well as maintaining engineering work environments with software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Cadence, and ANSYS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Application Implementation:
    • Installs and configures software components for Business applications relying on databases and other technical middleware, and client side counterpart. Handles multiple (non-production and production) application environments
    • Help in specifying and defining the proper infrastructure requirements for server based applications in new implementations
    • Participates in testing/validation of new products/components or improvements to systems related to the scope of work
    • Collaborates with Application and other IT teams regarding creation and evolution of documentation, implementation standards and processes, and support phase activities scoping and documentation
    • Install, maintain and manage documentation of desktop applications in perimeter
    • Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to installation/operation, and offer timely solutions to ensure the optimal performance
    • Manages changes and upgrades (major/minor) on the environments based on requirements and updates documentation and repositories accordingly, following change management procedures.
    • Analyze and defines monitoring of critical components health and execution of schedules
    • Supports configured installations, diagnoses and fix issues with middleware and other applicative components of applications
    • Investigates root causes and resolves problems in a structured approach, involving other teams if required
    • Desktop support and more
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required;

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field – preferred
  • Requires 3-5 years of related experience in business critical application installation/configuration and support in Windows systems environments

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of PTC Windchill - Expert
  • Knowledge of additional PLM, ALM systems (at least one other vendor) - Advanced
  • Knowledge and field experience with Windows Servers administration - Advanced
  • Knowledge of IIS, Application servers and Web servers configuration and management - Advanced
  • Knowledge of infrastructure services (AD, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP, Digital certificates…) – Advanced
  • Knowledge and experience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-171 - Basic
  • Knowledge and field experience with MS SQL (2012 to 2022) – Basic
  • Knowledge of virtualization environments (vmware) – Basic
  • Knowledge and experience in Citrix application publication or similar technologies – Basic
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills – Advanced
  • Written and verbal communication (English) – Advanced
  • Ability and willing to work in a multinational/multicultural environment - Basic
  • ITIL Best Practices – Basic
  • Windows scripting and automation/Powershell – Basic
  • Good understanding of application life cycle management (ALM), Change Management, and agile methodology
  • Experienced with product life cycle management (PLM)
  • Experienced with Information Technology standards and best practices
  • Experienced with Database Systems Administration techniques and best practices
