SOA Developer

Location: McLean, VA (100% Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Rate: $65-$70 per hour W-2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SOA Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions for large-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SOA, APIs, middleware technologies, microservices, and cloud-based integration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SOA-based applications and integration solutions
• Develop RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and microservices
• Build integrations between internal systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications
• Develop and support message-based and event-driven integrations
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of SOA and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) experience
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience developing REST APIs and SOAP Web Services
• Experience with XML, JSON, WSDL, XSD, and Swagger/OpenAPI
• Experience with one or more middleware technologies:
  • MuleSoft
  • IBM MQ / IIB
  • Apache Kafka
  • Apache Camel
  • Oracle SOA Suite
  • TIBCO
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, or similar DevOps tools
• Strong SQL and database experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microservices Architecture
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture
• Experience with Kafka and API Gateway technologies
• Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Mortgage, or Insurance environments

Compensation

Salary Range: $65-$70 per hour.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, technical skills, education, certifications, and overall qualifications.
