Summary

Position: Senior SAP Basis Consultant (W2 ONLY)

Location: Washington DC
Duration: 12+months
Pay Rate: $70-$75/hr on w2 based on experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Basis Consultant with deep technical expertise across SAP landscapes to support full-cycle implementations, system upgrades, and ongoing system maintenance. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, HANA database administration, and a broad portfolio of SAP products, ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support full-cycle SAP Basis activities, including system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and post-go-live support.
Perform installation, configuration, administration, and tuning of SAP systems across various environments (Development, QA, Production).
Provide advanced maintenance and troubleshooting support for SAP landscapes, proactively identifying and resolving system, performance, and availability issues.
Administer and support core SAP platforms and components including:
SAP S/4HANA
SAP BW
SAP PI/PO
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
SAP Commerce Management (CM)
SAP Cloud Connector (CC)
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
Manage SAP HANA database administration, including:
HANA installations and upgrades
Performance tuning and monitoring
Backup and recovery strategies
System refreshes and transports
Design, implement, and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, including:
HANA System Replication (HSR)
Pacemaker cluster configuration and management
Handle and support SAP Java environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Java-based SAP products.
Perform system copies, client administration, transport management, and patch management in accordance with SAP best practices.
Monitor system health, capacity, and performance using SAP tools and third-party monitoring solutions.
Ensure compliance with SAP security standards, including user administration, role assignments, and system hardening.
Collaborate closely with functional teams, developers, infrastructure, and security teams to support business and technical requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
Provide on-call or off-hours support as required for critical activities such as upgrades, go-lives, and production issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong SAP Basis technical expertise with multiple end-to-end implementations and system upgrades.
Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA administration.
Proven experience in HANA System Replication (HSR) and Pacemaker-based high availability configurations.
In-depth experience supporting SAP Java stacks and Java-based SAP products.
Strong troubleshooting skills across SAP ABAP and Java environments.
Solid understanding of SAP architecture, system landscapes, and integrations.
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
Ability to work independently and lead technical Basis activities.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with cloud-based SAP environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of SAP security, GRC, and audit support.
Exposure to DevOps, automation, or scripting (Shell, Python).
SAP certifications in SAP Basis, S/4HANA, or HANA.
Experience supporting global, 24x7 SAP environments
