Job Description

We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production database support.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PostgreSQL database management, SQL optimization, database performance monitoring, backup and recovery, and high-availability solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.

• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform query optimization.

• Perform SQL tuning, indexing, and execution-plan analysis.

• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.

• Troubleshoot database issues and provide production support.

• Implement database security, access controls, and user management.

• Work on database upgrades, patching, migrations, and capacity planning.

• Ensure database availability, reliability, and performance in production environments.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.

Required Skills

• 5–10 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA / SQL DBA.

• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration.

• Excellent SQL knowledge and query performance tuning.

• Experience with indexing, execution plans, and database optimization.

• Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and high availability.

• Experience troubleshooting complex database and production issues.

• Strong understanding of database security and access management.
