Role Overview
We are seeking experienced, lead-caliber ASIC DFT consulting engineers. In this role, you will be a Design for Test-Technical Lead with a primary focus on Design-for-Test. You will develop and implement DFT features to ensure high-quality, testable, and manufacturable designs, contributing to the full product cycle from pre-silicon design to post-silicon debug and production qualification. You will collaborate across multiple teams, leading debugging and root cause analysis of silicon failures to improve yield and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Hardware Design-for-Test (DFT) features, including scan, mbist, BISR, and boundary scan.
- Set up and debug DFT simulations and support post-silicon testing and debug.
- Develop innovative DFT IP in collaboration with multi-functional teams and integrate testability features into the RTL.
- Participate in creating innovative Hardware DFT and physical design aspects for new silicon device models.
- Drive re-usable test and debug strategies for bare die and stacked die configurations.
- Craft solutions and debug with minimal mentorship.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience is required. This includes experience with Jtag protocols, Scan and BIST architectures (including memory BIST and boundary scan), and integrating 3rd party IP and high-speed digital/analog macros. Candidates must have hands-on experience with post-silicon debug of DFT patterns (scan, mbist, boundary scan) and release to production on at least one project.
Technical Skills: Experience with ATPG and EDA tools such as Tessent tool sets, Xcelium, Genus, and TempPrimetime is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong ability to establish or refine and train teams on DFT methodologies, from the design phase to high-volume production.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to evolving technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a system-level understanding of networking and photonic solutions.
