Job Description

Join our Team as a Test Engineering Technical Specialist!

The Role:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Test Engineering Technical Specialist who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. You'll play a key role in supporting the development and testing of energy storage systems and the equipment used to operate them. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to build, repair, and test both prototype and production systems. Your work will directly contribute to advancing our technology in a fast-paced and supportive environment. We value innovative and creative ideas-yes, even during meetings (where snacks are always welcome). If you enjoy tackling challenges with positivity and a bit of humor, you'll feel right at home here.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Set up test equipment and test articles safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to align test capabilities with evolving program needs.
  • Assist in designing, building, and documenting new test equipment and procedures.
  • Support prototype system builds to meet design specifications and deadlines.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with batteries, fuel cells, and related systems.

What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical roles (e.g., build/repair, debugging, and system setup).
  • Technical training via apprenticeship, trade school, or college program.
  • Proficiency with computers and standard software such as MS Office; familiarity with data collection and analysis tools.

What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience handling high-voltage/high-current equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • A knack for building and troubleshooting complex systems-mechanical, electrical, or both.

Where and When You'll Work:
  • This is an in-person role located at our Rochester, New York office-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Wage - $27.52 - $35.29 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.

World Class Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary
  • Performance Bonus
  • Generous Paid Time Off and 13 Paid Holidays
  • Affordable Medical plans and no-cost Dental & Vision options
  • 100% 401(k) match up to 6%
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability
  • Tuition Assistance Program
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with access to mental health care, legal support, and financial guidance
  • Recognition and Kaizen (continuous improvement) Reward Programs
  • Meaningful opportunities for personal and professional development
  • Best in class work culture!
