Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Chicago IL/ Charlotte NC/ Denver CO (5 days onsite)
Duration: 8 months
Payrate: $60.00 - 65.15/hr
Position Summary
Open only in Chicago, Denver and Charlotte. This specific role is required to be fulfilled onsite 5 days a week.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technological initiatives across our organization. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle-from initiation and planning through execution and closure-ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with strategic goals. This specific role will align directly to 1 or more projects that have high priority focus for our organization, which will come with additional oversight and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication:
Ability to communicate with senior leaders and deliver complex work / messaging in a simple, concise way
Detail oriented, ability to organize, track management large teams and complex bodies of work
Project Initiation Planning:
Host kickoff meetings with stakeholders and project teams
Develop work breakdown structures (WBS), dependency documentation, and timelines for complex work efforts
Execution Monitoring:
Lead cross-functional teams and delegate tasks
Track progress, manage dependencies, and communicate updates
Identify and resolve issues and roadblocks
Controlling Quality Assurance:
Perform quality checks and manage scope changes
Monitor budgets and implement risk management strategies
Stakeholder Management:
Establish clear communication channels
Provide regular status updates and manage expectations
Leadership Team Development:
Motivate and coach team members
Resolve conflicts and foster collaboration
Required Skills:
Leadership Communication: Inspire teams and communicate effectively across all levels.
Planning Organization: Manage timelines, priorities, and complex work efforts
Strong sense of urgency and escalation paths to keep projects on track
Project Management: Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies; tools like MS Project and JIRA - tracking, editing, and managing data
Technical Acumen: Understanding of IT terminology and processes
Problem-Solving Analytical Thinking: Address challenges and make data-driven decisions
Proven experience working in a fast paced, highly matrixed organization
Change Management Expertise
Cybersecurity Awareness
Preferred Certifications Training:
PMP (Project Management Professional)
CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
CSM (Certified ScrumMaster)
Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban methodologies
Beginner-level Information Security certification
