Overview The Information Technology intern supports the IT Department by assisting with hands-on cybersecurity, automation, and artificial intelligence projects within the Microsoft 365 environment. The position focuses on learning and applying modern enterprise IT practices while contributing to internal systems, security posture, and process automation.

The Information Technology Intern will: - Configures and supports Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender, and Purview under supervision.
- Assists with implementing identity, access, and device compliance controls within test or development environments.
- Builds and enhances internal automation workflows using Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Supports development and testing of AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio for internal use.
- Assists with security monitoring activities including Secure Score reviews, alert investigation, and documentation of security controls.
- Participates in simulated cybersecurity incident response and supports documentation of findings and remediation steps.
- Maintains SharePoint sites, lists, and documentation repositories used for IT operations and compliance evidence.
- Performs system testing, validation, and troubleshooting related to automation, security, and AI initiatives.
- Collaborates with IT staff to follow established policies, procedures, and security best practices.
SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Individuals working for SBG Technology Solutions, Inc, a DSS, Inc. will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).

Preferred: - Exposure to cybersecurity, cloud computing, automation, or AI concepts
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, Power Platform, or scripting.
- Interest in cybersecurity, IT operations, or enterprise automation.
Education: - Required: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Preferred: Coursework related to cybersecurity, cloud computing, systems administration, or data analytics.
Certification: - Preferred: Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (e.g., AI-900, SC-900) or equivalent coursework.
