THE ROLE

We are looking for a Principal-level Cloud-Native Architect who still writes code and has personally built enterprise-scale distributed platforms using Go, Kubernetes and AWS/EKS.

This is not a DevOps administration role and not a candidate who simply deploys applications into Kubernetes.

The role is for someone who has architected and engineered the platform itself.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

The strongest candidates typically come from a progression such as:

Senior Software Engineer → Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer → Cloud-Native Architect → Principal Architect

or

Go Engineer → Kubernetes/Platform Engineer → Cloud-Native Architect

You should be comfortable discussing how the platform was engineered, not just which cloud services were used.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 12+ years of overall software/IT experience
• Strong hands-on Go/Golang development
• Enterprise Kubernetes engineering
• AWS/EKS architecture
• Distributed systems and microservices
• Docker and Helm
• CI/CD and GitOps
• Kubernetes Operators / Controllers / CRDs
• Production-scale troubleshooting
• Scalability, resiliency and high availability

STRONG MATCH

Candidates who have built Kubernetes platforms, operators/controllers, cloud-native distributed systems or enterprise EKS environments are the target profile.

Experience with Agentic AI, RAG, MCP/LLM integration, Istio/Envoy, Kafka, Terraform or Argo CD is highly valuable.

Do not apply if your Kubernetes experience is primarily application deployment, cluster administration or basic DevOps support.
