Passive Air Defense Engineering SME

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Kforce has a client in Chantilly, VA that is seeking a Passive Air Defense Engineering SME.

Responsibilities:
* Integrate passive sensors into joint air defense architectures without active emissions
* Develop threat models, signal processing algorithms, and simulation tools for passive tracking/classification
* Advise on performance metrics for low observable acoustic sensing and directed energy effectors
* Lead SME workshops and table top exercises to develop and validate concepts of operations
* Participate in operational test events and provide engineering analysis of results

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field-or equivalent experience
* 5-9 years of passive sensing or sensor integration engineering experience
* Hands on proficiency with signal processing and simulation tools for tracking/classification
* Ability to translate sensor data into technical requirements and test plans
* Proficiency with government test planning and data analysis processes
* Willingness to travel CONUS as required
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
