Network Systems Administrator

Our organization is in search of a driven, career-focused, and customer-oriented Network System Administrator (NSA) - I to become a part of our team in El Segundo, CA.

In this role, you will deliver daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) operations, assisting SSC Directorates and/or AFSPC Operational Units in a full-time, on-site capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain, audit, and support a secure MS Windows network environment along with limited web/data application services.
• Oversee internet applications and protocols such as IP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and SSL.
• Manage file servers, firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems, and system documentation.
• Engage directly with local clients to provide technical IT assistance and swiftly address system issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance, hardware upgrades, replacements, firmware updates, and system configuration modifications.
• Administer data backup libraries, perform scheduled tape backups, and ensure secure storage both on-site and off-site.
• Participate in planning meetings with IT personnel, Program Managers, and clients to prepare systems for operational deployment and support testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor s degree in a relevant field or 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree.
• At least 1 year of relevant IT experience.
• Must fulfill DoD Directive 8570.01-M/8140 IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA, CySA+, CND) within 6 months of employment.
• Hold applicable Windows professional certifications based on the operating system requirements for the supported organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience with SCI or SAP is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Windows client operating systems along with related hardware.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies, data backup systems, and COMSEC integration.
• Knowledge of JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN standards, ICDs, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards.
• Experience with PL1 through PL4 systems and cross-domain solutions.
• Strong capability to work independently in a dynamic environment alongside DoD, military, civilian, and industry partners.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess a current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs (SAP) is required.
• Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

• Travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) may be required, including both air and ground transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary.
• Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time in closed-area offices.
• Ability to move around inside and outside the office to access files, cabinets, safes, and to install or remove computer-related equipment is essential.
