Associates degree *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience. Working knowledge of Banner. Knowledge in transcript evaluation and Degree Works.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a related field *and* Three (3) years related work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Data Management Specialist is responsible for entering data into a variety of formats and computer programs, generating documents and reports requiring program area knowledge and providing operational and technical support for Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs. Additionally, the Data Management Specialist updates Banner Information Database validation tables.
Enters data from forms, records, reports, and/or other sources into the computerized student information system.
Assist with registration functions
Updates Banner Information Database validation tables
Stay informed about advancements in technology and recommend relevant updates or improvements.
Develops and/or assists with policies and procedures and recommends changes to effectively meet the goals and requirements.
Assists in maintaining student records.
Communicates regularly on progress toward project goals and/or required results.
Keeps abreast of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact project initiatives.
Maintains excellent working relationships with and serves as a liaison between Academic Affairs, Institutional Effectiveness, and Student Affairs.
Evaluate transcripts for transfer credits and credential awarding.
Assist with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities, such as graduation.
Other duties as assigned.

SALARY:

This is a part-time position without insurance benefits; work hours will not exceed 29 per week. Hourly rate is commensurate with education and work experience.

SPECIAL NOTES:

It shall be a condition of employment to submit to a background investigation. Offers of employment shall be conditional pending the result of the background investigation.
