Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled AKS Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance our Kubernetesbased application platforms. This role requires strong handson experience with Azure Kubernetes Services, scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred), and a solid understanding of Helm charts and DevOps practices. You ll work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure our containerized workloads are reliable, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, operate, and troubleshoot Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) clusters across multiple environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell (and/or other scripting languages) to streamline deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
  • Create, update, and maintain Helm charts for application deployments and platform components.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate AKS workloads into CI/CD pipelines and follow infrastructureascode best practices.
  • Monitor cluster health, performance, and cost efficiency; implement improvements where needed.
  • Support containerized application deployments, including image management, networking, and security configurations.
  • Participate in incident response, rootcause analysis, and ongoing platform optimization.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong handson experience with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), including cluster configuration, scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation; ability to build reusable scripts and tooling.
  • Solid understanding of Helm charts, templating, packaging, and release workflows.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps concepts, including CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, infrastructureascode, and container lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Docker, container registries, and Kubernetes networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Azure services commonly used alongside AKS (Azure Monitor, Key Vault, ACR, VNet, etc.).
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across team
