IT Asset Management Manager

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.

• At least three years of experience in IT asset management, software asset management, hardware asset management, IT operations, or a closely related area.

• At least two years of experience managing employees, teams, or distributed IT resources.

• Hands-on experience managing hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.

• Strong knowledge of software licensing models, license agreements, audits, and compliance requirements.

• Experience creating and executing strategic IT asset-management processes.

• Understanding of IT Service Management practices and processes.

• Experience maintaining technology asset inventories, databases, reporting, and documentation.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with a high level of accuracy.

• Strong vendor-management, contract-review, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and stakeholder-communication skills.

• Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area and travel approximately 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IT asset-management or software asset-management platforms.

• Familiarity with ITSM, configuration-management databases, and procurement systems.

• Experience supporting asset-management programs across multiple offices or business units.

• ITAM, SAM, ITIL, or related professional certification.

• Experience identifying technology cost-saving and license-optimization opportunities.

Qualified candidates should have a balanced combination of hands-on IT asset-management experience, people leadership, vendor and contract management, software-license knowledge, and strong business judgment.
